KME was the structural engineer of record for improvements to Navarre Park, a seven-acre public park located in Navarre, Florida. Structural design included a new 1,500 square foot restroom building, one new nine-table shelter, and two new six-table shelters. Also included in the project scope were walkway decks, ramps, and stairs from the parking area to the new facilities and then to beach access. The beach access at Navarre Park is now fully ADA accessible. All structures were designed as open and wood-framed, elevated on wood piles, and were designed to withstand extreme hurricane-force wind and wave impacts.
