Structural Engineer of Record for this two-story clinic and office building in Tallahassee, Florida. The building was constructed of composite steel on shallow foundation and features a basement constructed of cast-in-place retaining walls, for a total construction cost of $9.3M on this 27,000 square foot building.
Challenges to the structural design for this project included large open areas without load-bearing walls, as well as architectural floor cantilevers and large roof overhangs. The building is clad in brick, with the large entry canopy constructed of aluminum with columns wrapped in brick.
